The starting point for all motorcycle and motorbike learners is the compulsory basic training (CBT). The CBT is a training course approved by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and normally takes approximately 5-6 hours to complete.
The next stage is to decide which license you want. There are 2 types: a light motorcycle license: A1 which restricts you to any motorcycle up to 125cc and a power output of 11kW. The practical test must be taken on a motorcycle between 75cc and 125cc.
A2 which can be obtained by passing a test on a motorcycle of between 120cc and not more than 125cc. this license restricts you to a motorycle of up to 25kW for 2 years. After that you can ride any sized motorcycle.
You can opt for the Direct Access Scheme (DAS). This is an approved motorcycle training course that can be taken in 5 days for those with little or no experience and is conducted on a 500cc motorcycle.
Note: Test candidates who only have a provisional license will need to take a theory test before they can apply for a practical test.
Please note that booking a course with us does not guarantee a pass. Only you can make that happen!
